Grainfather Is Introduced

On August 25, 2014, New Zealand company Imake released the Grainfather to the public after presenting the all-in-one brewing system at Beervana in Wellington. Developed following research that began in 2013, the electric system combined mashing, wort recirculation, boiling, and counterflow cooling in a compact unit designed for home all-grain brewing. The Grainfather offered homebrewers a purpose-built alternative to assembling a multi-vessel brewing setup from separate components. After its initial New Zealand launch, the system expanded into international markets and became part of a broader shift toward compact, electrically controlled all-in-one equipment for homebrewers.
