O/O Brewing Is Founded in Gothenburg
In 2011, childhood friends Olle Andersson and Olof Andersson founded O/O Brewing in Gothenburg, Sweden. Both had been enthusiastic homebrewers before starting the company, whose name derives from their first names. Rather than immediately building their own brewery, they initially brewed their beers using existing brewing facilities in Gothenburg. O/O developed a range spanning pilsners, pale ales, IPAs, and darker beers, with hop-forward releases becoming an important part of its identity. After several years of producing beer without its own brewhouse, O/O established its own brewery in Gothenburg in 2017. The brewery became part of the city's prominent modern craft-beer scene and contributed to the development of contemporary hop-focused brewing in Sweden.
