Baladin Becomes A Brewpub In Piozzo

Breweries

Le Baladin became a brewpub in Piozzo, in the Langhe area of Piedmont, in July 1996. Baladin’s history states that beer was then produced and directly sold on site, with Blonde and Ambrée as the first draught beers produced by Baladin. The transformation of Le Baladin from a pub into a brewpub made Baladin one of the central breweries in the early Italian craft beer movement. Baladin’s own overview of Italian craft beer describes 1996 as the symbolic birth year of the movement and names Baladin, Birrificio Italiano, and Birrificio Lambrate as three producers that deeply influenced the sector.
