Daruvar Brewery Is Founded

Daruvar Brewery was founded in 1840 on Count Janković’s estate in Daruvar. Its establishment forms part of the nineteenth-century expansion of brewing in the territory of present-day Croatia. The brewery became associated with traditional Czech brewing methods, a connection emphasized in Daruvar’s presentation of its brewing heritage.
