Omnipollo Opens Its Own Brewery in a Former Church

In 2020, Omnipollo established its first brewery of its own inside a former church in Sundbyberg, northwest of central Stockholm. Until then, Omnipollo had operated primarily through a nomadic model, developing its beers and producing them at partner breweries. The church therefore gave founders Henok Fentie and Karl Grandin a permanent production home in which they could control brewing directly and experiment without the constraints of another brewery’s equipment and schedule. Known as Omnipollos kyrka—“Omnipollo’s church”—the site combined production with the brewery’s distinctive approach to art, design, food, and beer culture. Test brewing began in 2020 while the building was being converted, and the upper floor was later opened to visitors as a bar and restaurant overlooking the brewery. The project marked Omnipollo’s transition from an internationally successful nomadic producer to a brewery operating its own brewhouse and public destination.
