Home Brew Bayreuth Is First Held
On April 12 and 13, 2019, Maisel & Friends held the first Home Brew Bayreuth at Maisel’s Bier-Erlebnis-Welt in Bayreuth, Germany. Created as a meeting place for the German-speaking homebrewing community, the event combined lectures, brewing-supply exhibitors, guided tours, food, music, and a public serving area where homebrewers could present their own beers. The inaugural festival attracted more than 1,000 visitors and included a competition for Kellerbier. Home Brew Bayreuth subsequently developed into an annual gathering centered on homebrewed beer, technical exchange, public tasting, and the presentation of the Maisel & Friends homebrewing competition winner.
