Christian Tille Wins Home Brew Bayreuth 2026

On April 18, 2026, Christian Tille won the ninth Maisel & Friends hobbybrewing competition at HOME BREW Bayreuth with his Cold IPA, “Bavarian Olaf.” The jury selected Tille’s beer from 154 entries submitted for the competition’s designated style, making it the winning Cold IPA of one of Germany’s major annual homebrewing gatherings. The victory crowned a remarkable result for a technically ambitious beer built around a clear, dry base and an expressive hop profile. As the competition winner, Tille was invited to return to Bayreuth and recreate Bavarian Olaf with the Maisel & Friends brewing team. Congratulations to Christian Tille on an outstanding achievement!
