Brautag Podcast Launches

On August 9, 2023, homebrewers Paul Schüßler, known as Friedies Brauhaus, and Florian Erdel, known as C.H.A.O.S. Homebrewing, launched the German-language Brautag podcast with the introductory episode “Folge 0 – Der Startschuss.” Both hosts had already gained recognition in the German homebrewing community: Schüßler won the creative-beer category at the 2021 German Championship of Homebrewers, and Erdel won the same category in 2022. Brautag combines discussions of brewing techniques, beer styles, sensory evaluation, beer history, interviews, experiments, and topics from the homebrewing community. Its detailed thematic seasons and prolific range of episodes have made it a valuable and entertaining source for German-speaking beer enthusiasts and homebrewers, while its historical sections have also contributed research leads and supporting material to Beer Chronicles.
