Schmelzer Brauhaus Is Established in Schmelz
In 2000, the Dörr and Quinten families established the Schmelzer Brauhaus in Schmelz, Saarland. Built beside the B268, the enterprise combined a restaurant with a brewery producing its own Erzbräu beer. The Brauhaus brought brewing and hospitality together at one location, with the brewhouse beside the dining area and beer garden. Its naturally cloudy beers include pale and dark varieties, complemented by seasonal brews. Erzbräu is served at the Brauhaus alongside regional food, making on-site brewing part of the restaurant experience.
