Great Notion Introduces Blueberry Muffin

In 2016, Great Notion Brewing in Portland, Oregon, introduced Blueberry Muffin, a kettle-soured beer designed to reproduce the aroma and flavor of a freshly baked blueberry muffin. The beer combined pronounced blueberry character with tartness and dessert-like pastry flavors, moving beyond the profile of conventional fruit beer toward a deliberately recognizable food-inspired experience. Blueberry Muffin became one of Great Notion’s signature beers and inspired related releases such as Boo Berry Muffin and Blueberry Pancakes.
