BRLO Is Founded In Berlin

In 2014, Katharina Kurz, Christian Laase, and brewmaster Michael Lembke founded BRLO in Berlin. The company entered the market with its first beer in early November 2014. Its name derives from an Old Slavic name associated with Berlin. BRLO initially operated without its own permanent brewery. Construction of the BRLO BRWHOUSE began at Gleisdreieck in 2016, and the brewery, restaurant, and beer garden opened in 2017 in a structure assembled from converted shipping containers. BRLO expanded its production capacity in 2019 with the opening of a second brewery in Berlin-Spandau.
